Tipps zum Energiesparen in den Tropen:
"Where a fixed rate is agreed the tenant nevertheless agrees to be frugil and not waste energy by e.g. not adjusting thermostactic radiator valves to the optimum position creating the most comfortable temperature for each area instead of e.g. having the whole house set at an unnecessary tropical level."Wie man sich verhalten sollte, wenn der Landlord potentielle neue Mieter zur Besichtigung einlädt, zum Beispiel der zu akzeptierende und nicht mehr zu akzeptierende Grad der Sauberkeit zum Zeitpunkt der Besichtigung:
"Ultracleanliness is not expected e.g. an isolated sink full of dirty dishes some might reasonably expect. A number of factors combine to deter prospective viewers, e.g. dirty: floors, toilets, sinks, hobs, hoods, ovens, fridges, cluttered kitchen worktops, the smell of damp washing (unreasonable where a dryer is provided), the inability to walk across floors without risk of stepping upon possessions and general clutter."Zum Glück riecht unser Kühlschrank immer nach Bergblümchen. ...Aber auch wie hübsch man selbst bei der Besichtigung dreinschaut, ist vertraglich festgelegt:

Da kommt man sich unfreiwillig schon mal recht dominant vor. Ich gebe mir trotz allem große Mühe, auf 10qm sehr unauffällig zu wirken, ja regelrecht zu verschwinden.
Und natürlich: Drogen und "Parties in Anführungszeichen":

"Cats and rabbits would not be allowed due to inter alia potential damage, allergies and similarly dogs but a guide dog would be considered, likewise a goldfish as it is unlikely to cause damage. Each request would be considered relative to the perceived threat or risk presented."
